 Alphabet is a set of letters or symbols in a fixed order used for writing a language. It is very important to know before learning English. In this part, the learners can know the letters. There are 26 letters.

       Alphabet is helpful for the beginners of English. The learners can spell the letters in a word. In English speaking, one can ask for a word or two words which is not clearly spoken by the speakers. By spelling the word, he/she can understand and write what letters in a word. In short, alphabet helps in spelling and pronunciation. For example, the word "one" is spelled /ou//en//i/. And it is pronounced /wan/. English is different between its spelling and its pronunciation.

      There are a large number of languages in the world. They are very different from each other. For the foreigners, learning English is a new matter. The first step to learn is alphabet because it helps the spelling and the pronunciation. Spelling refers to English writing and pronunciation refers to English speaking. Different spelling makes it not understandable. Spelling is the act of forming words correctly from individual letters or the way that a particular word is written and spelled. While pronunciation is the way in a particular word or sound is pronounced or the way in which a person pronounces the words of a language.

      The mistake that made in pronunciation can cause the misunderstanding in English speaking. This mistake also influences the listening. It will bring failure to convey the propose that is intended. So, the good pronunciation is necessary in order to deliver a good and clear propose.

       

The Necessity Of English

Ladies and gentlemen,  

The development of technology and industry are very rapid and they bring a lot of changes for the world. Many of commercial products use English as the instruction. Not only that, English is also used in tourism. The natural interest would be an interesting place to visit. English plays important roles in most sectors on the world, as the guide for the foreigners. We can say that English is a part of the life skill.

Learning English must start from the children. This is a very good step. When they grow up, they can communicate with other people from all over the world. Let’s help our generation with English. By mastering English well, people can find good jobs as translators, interpreters or any jobs which need English skill.

The Non Formal Education

Ladies and gentlemen,

It is needed to complete the lesson at school. The learning and teaching outside the school is very helpful because it has no limit time as at school. The most important thing is one can get more knowledge and can share with other students from different schools. Sometimes, the students who learn from non-formal school have a better achievement.

The major and difficult lessons are the priorities for the non-formal school, such as math, physics, chemistry, English, biology, etc. Some parents are very concerned about this. They hope that their children will know much more than at the formal school. Most of the parents send their children to non-formal school to get the extra knowledge. The way of teaching at non-formal school is different and amusing.

The non-formal education helps very much to contribute for the students. Some students can concentrate better than learning at formal school. This school also gives more motivation for the pupils.

The Importance of Reading

Ladies and gentlemen,

To increase our knowledge, we must read a lot. Firstly, we have to read many kinds of books as the source of information. Books give us much information that is very useful for our lives and for the future. Talking about books, lesson books at school are the most important ones. Then we can read other kinds of books, like novels, story books, and so on.

Reading habit must be developed from the early years. This is a good step. Then it will become a hobby. A person is considered to be able to read if he /she can understand what he/she has read. Because without knowing what he/she is reading about, he will not be successful to find the main idea or the message of the books about.

Reading a lot is very necessary. People will get much knowledge and information about arts, education, health, agriculture, and many others. Reading can make someone work and study harder. For us, it is very interesting to know many things in our lives by reading.

The Spirit Of Education

Ladies and gentlemen,

We all know that education means a process of teaching, learning and training especially in schools, institutions or colleges. Education is needed worldwide for the people. It aims to increase the man power, to fight against the illiteracy, to develop the nation’s mind and to combat against the poverty. Without it, the live becomes worse.

Education at schools has grades or levels which is related to the age of the pupils. It begins from preschool age, kindergarten, primary, medium and higher age. Each year has 2 semesters with its tests. It takes many years to be clever, from reading, writing and counting. Basic education determines where the pupils show the major interest to the learning. So, each semester the pupil will get the evaluation from the teachers on their school report card.

The progress of education depends on the teachers, the pupils and the support facilities. Teachers are the main agents who give and share the knowledge. Then, the pupils must be able to study hard in order to master all the subjects well. And the support facilities help the process of teaching and learning, such as laboratory, library and others. Indeed, teaching and learning must be supported with the practices so that pupils can do the observation and experiment.

To raise the school grades, the government decides the minimum grades at the final test. It aims to evaluate the pupil’s standard competence nationwide with the applied curriculum. This system brings a lot of benefit and gives good motivation. As a result, most of the pupils spend more time on learning than doing nothing (playing). With this step we can know which students have the bright future.

I conclude that education is very important indeed for the people, whether young or old ones. It changes our live into the better ones. The one who has no education will have the bad future and can’t increase his or her welfare. So, let’s speed up our spirit to study hard and never bored to learn continuously. 

The Drugs Abuse Among The Students

Ladies and gentlemen,  
 
Drugs are an illegal substance that some people smoke, inject, drink, eat for the physical and mental effects it has. Many students consume drugs for fun or of other reasons. They (drugs) deal in the environment through the network. The main target is the students. At the beginning, the students consume as a free try. After a period of time, they become the drug addict and always buy and consume it. The sale of drugs is very careful and neat. The students also involved on dealing it.

Based on the observation, the students consume the drugs because of stress. They can’t solve their own problems, like family problem. The disorder in the family makes drugs to be the escape to finish the problem. It is to calm down the instant thought. Besides that, the poverty makes the students involve on selling and dealing the drugs in order to get the pocket money. The result of the observation is that the average of the drugs consumers becomes addicted.

The students don’t realize that the drugs consumption has the negative impact for them, like the intelligence decreases, mental disorder, death and many kinds of disease. It is very hard to recover from this impact except in the drugs rehabilitation with the high cost. Many cases are found that rehabilitation can’t recover the patients because of the worst condition.

I suggest all the students not to consume the drugs because they can destroy the health, future and can cause the death. Never try to touch and approach them. Drugs are very harmful for the generations.  Your lives are still long. Catch your bright future with success. The drugs are used on the doctor’s prescription and recommendation on the certain disease.  Before too far, the government must take an action soon to fight against drugs to save our generation from destruction.

I conclude that the drugs abuse among the students is very harmful. I hope that all the students not to try to consume drug, stay away from it. Remember that you are still young. Our country depends the young generations.
